Nicholas Minoia, President and Founder of Diversified Properties,
is well known in the real estate development community throughout the Northeast
for his vision, adaptability and market savvy. He has conceived and developed
projects in New Jersey, New York, including New York City, and Connecticut.
Mr. Minoia serves as a board member on the Summit Chamber of Commerce as well as
being a Member of the Board of Directors for Union Center National Bank -
NASDAQ symbol:CNBC. He has also been a licensed Real Estate Broker since 1984
and is a graduate of NYU's Diploma program in Construction Management.
Mr. Minoia's 25 year history includes brokerage, construction management, finance, real estate law and property management. In the late 1980’s Mr. Minoia spent several
years providing loan workout services to New Jersey Savings and Loan Institutions.
Working closely with the Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS), Mr. Minoia was responsible for developing strategies for the
sale of non-performing loans and REO.
Projects have included luxury single-family home communities, townhomes,
condominium developments, active adult and age restricted communities,
as well as multi-family apartment complexes, offices and retail. Commercial acquisitions
have included existing apartment complexes, office buildings and retail properties.
Jonathan Stein has more than 20 years experience in real estate,
including property development and distressed portfolio acquisition, management
and disposition. As an Operating Partner at a large, northeast development
company, Mr. Stein presided over the development of thousands of residential
apartments, condominiums, townhomes, and single-family homes, as well as several
hundred thousand square feet of commercial and retail space. Notably, he had
primary responsibility for the design and development efforts of the 100-acre
former General Motors assembly plant in Sleepy Hollow, New York.
Mr. Stein previously served as Vice President and
Associate General Counsel of a large, New Jersey based company that purchased
distressed portfolios of REO and non-performing notes during the early 1990's.
His duties included the due diligence of new portfolios as well as the
management and disposition of varied assets. Mr. Stein also practiced law for
three years at a mid-sized firm where his focus was on loan restructuring and
workouts during the Savings and Loan crisis.
Mr. Stein has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers University and a JD degree from Rutgers School of Law.
He has lectured on behalf of the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education and the Urban Land Institute. Mr. Stein currently serves as a trustee for Morris
Tomorrow, a non-profit organization committed to improving the quality of life in Morris County, NJ.
